Pakistan’s Ambassador to Tehran commended Iran’s police for their decisive actions against human trafficking, leading to the rescue of 10 Pakistani nationals. He emphasized the need for stronger bilateral cooperation to combat this issue.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Tehran has praised Iran’s police for their decisive actions against human trafficking networks, emphasizing that bilateral cooperation in combating this issue will continue to strengthen.

Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, in a statement released on Monday, expressed deep appreciation for Iran’s efforts, highlighting the recent rescue of 10 Pakistani nationals from traffickers.

He assured that all rescued individuals are in good health and currently under the protection of the Pakistani embassy, with arrangements being made for their safe return to Pakistan.

Tipu urged Pakistani citizens to reject human traffickers and their deceptive practices, warning them against falling for false promises made by smugglers.

He commended Iranian officials for their cooperation and stressed the importance of enhancing Iran-Pakistan collaboration to combat human trafficking.

The ambassador further noted that Iranian police have successfully dismantled criminal gangs involved in this illicit activity.

In recent years, Iranian border forces have detained numerous Pakistani nationals attempting to enter Iran illegally. These individuals were later handed over to Pakistani authorities at the Mirjaveh border crossing.

Many Pakistani nationals enter Iran illegally in hopes of reaching European or Persian Gulf countries for employment, using Iran as a transit route.

In March last year, the Pakistani embassy in Tehran announced the rescue of four Pakistani citizens from human traffickers, achieved through cooperation with the Iranian government and police.
